Team Calendar UPDATE

Hi all Manta Rays,

I have attached an updated team calendar for the remainder of the season.

Our last regular season, swim meet is next Saturday, February 8th at our HOME pool. This is your swimmer’s very last opportunity to meet the Y minimum requirements, of 2 swim meet participation; in order to participate in the Atlanta Metro Y Swimming Championships, on Saturday March 1st at the GA TECH Aquatics Center. The entries for 2/8/25 swim meet MCY Manta Rays vs. Fowler Fins swimmers and volunteer jobs are OPEN now; and will close on 2/6/2025 @ 10pm.

We have been invited to a swim scrimmage; at the Carl E. Sanders YMCA, in Buckhead on February 15 @ 4pm- ‘Love at 1st Swim Invitational’. This is an opportunity for the swimmers to start off blocks and have one more race experience, ahead of the Championships. We will be competing against two other teams, please note, each swimmer will only be allowed to compete in 2 individual events and 2 relays (if we have enough participants to have relays in each age group). Unlike normal meets, you will need to let Coach Olivia and I know if you and your swimmers are able to attend and we will have to manually add each swimmer to the roster for the scrimmage. We hope you can all make it!

Regular practice during the Cobb Co, winter break, from February 17-20; and a Special Session on the 22nd , @ 4pm, if you and your family are in town that week.

Lastly, our Atlanta Metro Y Swimming Championships, will be on Saturday March 1st at the GA TECH Aquatics Center. More on time to follow. We need all swimmers that are eligible to swim at the meet to attend. I think the pros outweigh the cons on this one; it is an opportunity for your swimmers to compete with 11 different Y swim clubs. They can say that they have swam at GA Tech. 😉 And wrap the end of this season, showing off their hard work! Please note, this year we are also going to need parents on deck in the designated team area, during the meet to assist with staging prior to the bullpen and help keep an eye out on the swimmers. As all other family and spectators will be up in the bleachers. Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering on deck.

As always, thank you all for your help!

GO MANTA RAYS!!!
